Kevin Parker brings Tame Impala's Deadbeat Tour back to Britain in summer 2027, a year after the 2026 arena run. This time the shows are in the round, with the stage in the middle of the arena floor, and there are only two cities: Co-op Live in Manchester on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 May, and The O2 in London on Tuesday 1, Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 June 2027. Wet Leg, the Isle of Wight band, are the special guests.
The tour was announced with one Manchester show and two in London. Demand added a second Co-op Live night and a third at The O2, so Parker will play five British arena concerts in seven days — more than on any previous Tame Impala visit.
On this page: the confirmed dates, how in-the-round staging changes the experience, Tame Impala's complete documented UK concert history from a London pub in 2009 to the Hydro in 2026, the songs played most often, and Parker's story from Perth bedroom recordings to a Billboard top-ten single.
The 2027 dates were announced on 24 August 2026 as part of a European extension of the Deadbeat Tour. A Co-op members' presale (for Manchester) and an O2 Priority presale (for London) opened at 9am on Wednesday 26 August, and general sale followed at 9am on Friday 28 August 2026 through Ticketmaster. The extra Manchester and London nights were released shortly afterwards.
After Britain the tour moves to Rotterdam Ahoy (7 and 8 June), the Accor Arena in Paris (12 and 13 June) and the LANXESS Arena in Cologne (17 June), followed by festival headline slots at Open'er in Poland, Rock Werchter in Belgium and NOS Alive in Lisbon in early July.
There are no Birmingham, Glasgow or Dublin dates in 2027. Fans in Scotland and the Midlands had their turn in May 2026, when the first Deadbeat arena tour played the Utilita Arena Birmingham and the OVO Hydro.
Co-op Live opened in 2024 on the Etihad Campus in east Manchester and, at roughly 23,500 capacity, is the largest indoor arena in the UK. The Etihad Campus Metrolink stop is a short walk away; expect queues on the tram after big shows.
Opened in 2007 on the Greenwich Peninsula inside the former Millennium Dome, The O2 holds around 20,000 for concerts and is regularly ranked among the world's busiest arenas. The nearest Tube is North Greenwich on the Jubilee line; the IFS Cloud Cable Car and Thames Clippers riverboats are useful alternatives after the show.
Tame Impala's first British shows were a scrappy week in March 2009, before they had released an album: The Deaf Institute in Manchester on 10 March, The Lexington in London, Sneaky Pete's in Edinburgh, The Arches in Glasgow, The Coronet and The Lock Tavern in Camden. In 2010, with Innerspeaker out, they played Cargo, Reading Festival, an in-store at Rough Trade East and a short October tour of Heaven, the Ruby Lounge in Manchester and O2 Academy 3 in Birmingham.
The audience grew quickly. In 2011 they played the Roundhouse, Glastonbury, Milton Keynes Bowl and T in the Park at Balado. The Lonerism tour of October–November 2012 went from O2 Academy Brixton to the HMV Ritz in Manchester, the Leadmill in Sheffield and the O2 ABC in Glasgow; in 2013 they played the Hammersmith Apollo, Glastonbury again, Edinburgh's HMV Picture House and Reading and Leeds; and in 2014 they played two nights at Finsbury Park, Manchester's Albert Hall, the Birmingham Institute and Rock City.
Currents took them into arenas: the Barrowland and Liverpool Olympia in September 2015, then Manchester Arena and two nights at Alexandra Palace in February 2016, with a Glastonbury slot that June. They headlined The O2 on 8 June 2019, played the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool as a warm-up and returned to Glastonbury on 28 June 2019. The Slow Rush tour, delayed by the pandemic, reached Britain only once, at Victoria Park in London on 25 August 2022.
The Deadbeat tour's first British leg came in May 2026: The O2 on 7 May, Co-op Live on 8 May, the Utilita Arena Birmingham on 9 May and the OVO Hydro on 11 May, with a Dublin date at 3Arena on 13 May.
The table below lists 47 documented UK concerts by Tame Impala between 2009 and 2026, with the most shows in London (16), Manchester (6), Glasgow (4), Pilton (4), Birmingham (3), Kinross (2). It is not exhaustive: it only includes documented shows.

Across the 15 most recent documented UK concerts with a full song list (11 September 2015 to 11 May 2026), these are the songs that came up most often. Titles only — set lists change from night to night.
Glastonbury is Tame Impala's most-played British stage, with appearances in 2011, 2013, 2016 and 2019. They have also played Reading in 2010, Reading and Leeds in 2013, T in the Park at Balado in 2011 and 2014, and an outdoor show at Gunnersbury Park in London in 2018. Parker returned to Glastonbury in 2024 as a guest of Dua Lipa, playing 'The Less I Know the Better' during her Pyramid Stage headline set.
Tame Impala began in 2007 as Kevin Parker's home-recording project in Perth, Western Australia. Songs posted on Myspace led to a deal with Modular Recordings in July 2008. Parker writes, plays, records and produces almost everything himself in the studio; on stage, Tame Impala is a band, today made up of Parker, Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Cam Avery, Julien Barbagallo and James Ireland. Several members also play in fellow Perth band Pond.
Innerspeaker (2010) was a guitar-heavy psychedelic rock record. Lonerism (2012), with 'Elephant' and 'Feels Like We Only Go Backwards', was nominated for a Grammy and reached the UK top 20. Currents (2015) swapped guitars for synthesisers and gave Parker his most famous songs, 'Let It Happen' and 'The Less I Know the Better'; it reached number three in the UK. The Slow Rush (2020) also went to number three.
Between albums Parker became one of the most sought-after producers and collaborators in pop: Rihanna covered 'New Person, Same Old Mistakes', and he worked with Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Kanye West, Mark Ronson, Justice and Dua Lipa, co-writing and producing much of her 2024 album Radical Optimism. In 2024 Sony Music Publishing bought his catalogue.
Deadbeat was released on 17 October 2025. Inspired by the rave scene of Western Australia, it leans towards house music and divided critics, but its single 'Dracula' became a hit — and a 2026 remix with Jennie of Blackpink gave Tame Impala their first US top-ten single. The album reached number four in the UK.
| Album | Year | UK chart peak |
|---|---|---|
| Innerspeaker | 2010 | 144 |
| Lonerism | 2012 | 14 |
| Currents | 2015 | 3 |
| The Slow Rush | 2020 | 3 |
| Deadbeat | 2025 | 4 |
For the 2027 shows the stage sits in the centre of the arena floor, with the audience on all sides. That changes the geography of every seat: there is no 'behind the stage', the tiers wrap all the way round and the standing floor surrounds the stage rather than facing it. Seats that would normally be side-on or restricted become usable, which is one reason extra dates could be added.
Tame Impala shows are built around light and video — lasers, haze and screens that react to the music. With a central stage, the production has to work from every angle, so the view from the side tiers is far better than at a conventional end-stage arena show. If you want to be close, the standing floor is the place; if you want to see the full light show, the lower tiers are usually the better choice.
Across the band's documented British shows, 'Elephant', 'Feels Like We Only Go Backwards' and 'Apocalypse Dreams' are the songs played most often, with 'Let It Happen', 'The Less I Know the Better', 'Mind Mischief' and 'Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind?' close behind. The 2026 arena shows ran to around 22 or 23 songs and mixed those with Deadbeat tracks such as 'Dracula', 'Loser' and 'End of Summer'.
Parker rarely changes the core of a tour set from night to night, so the 2027 shows are likely to follow the 2026 running order closely, with the in-the-round staging the main difference.
Wet Leg — Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, with their live band — broke through in 2021 with 'Chaise Longue', won two Grammys and two Brit Awards for their 2022 debut album, and released their second album, moisturizer, in 2025. Opening five arena shows for Tame Impala in front of home crowds is a big platform; arrive early if you want to see them.
Expect around two hours from Tame Impala after Wet Leg's set. The band play the recorded songs with more space and longer instrumental passages; Parker usually says little between songs. The crowd is young and very loud on 'The Less I Know the Better' and 'Let It Happen', and confetti has often been fired over the crowd during the latter.
Both arenas have a standing floor and seated tiers. Co-op Live is next to the Etihad Stadium in east Manchester; The O2 is at North Greenwich on the Jubilee line. Allow plenty of time after the show — arena exits at both venues take a while.
General sale opened at 9am on Friday 28 August 2026 through Ticketmaster, after Co-op and O2 Priority presales on 26 August. The 2026 Deadbeat arena prices ranged from roughly £50 to £170 before fees, and Time Out expected the 2027 shows to be priced in a similar range.
