Bonobo's Distance in Static Live tour comes to the UK and Ireland in February 2027, with eleven shows in seven cities: Newcastle, Manchester, Brighton, Glasgow, Dublin, Bristol and London. It is Simon Green's first full live tour since the Fragments run of 2022, and it follows his eighth album, Distance in Static, released on 11 September 2026.
The run opens at O2 City Hall in Newcastle on Wednesday 3 February and finishes with two nights at Alexandra Palace in north London on 26 and 27 February. In between are second nights added in Manchester (Aviva Studios), Glasgow (Barrowland Ballroom) and Bristol (The Prospect Building), plus single shows at the Brighton Centre and Dublin's National Stadium.
Green has described the new show as a hybrid of his live band and a more electronic set-up, with a much bigger visual element built with the designer Trevor Jackson. This page covers every date, the venues, Bonobo's long British concert history and practical ticket advice.
All eleven dates are on sale. Here is the full itinerary as announced on 4 September 2026 and updated with the extra nights:
Newcastle, O2 City Hall (Wednesday 3 February) · Manchester, Aviva Studios (Thursday 4 and Friday 5 February) · Brighton, Brighton Centre (Saturday 6 February) · Glasgow, Barrowland Ballroom (Friday 12 and Saturday 13 February) · Dublin, National Stadium (Tuesday 16 February) · Bristol, The Prospect Building (Thursday 18 and Friday 19 February) · London, Alexandra Palace (Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February).
The choice of rooms says a lot. Aviva Studios is the new home of Factory International, built on the site of the old Granada studios; the Barrowland is Glasgow's best-loved ballroom; the National Stadium in Dublin is a boxing venue; and The Prospect Building is the large industrial space next to Temple Meads in Bristol. None of them is a conventional arena, and most are standing.
The UK dates sit inside a wider European tour in February and March 2027, after a North American run in November and early December 2026.
Bonobo has been playing British venues for more than twenty years. The earliest show in our records is the Jazz Cafe in Camden on 19 May 2004, when he was still signed to Ninja Tune's downtempo world and touring Dial 'M' for Monkey. A month later he was on a small stage at Glastonbury. In 2009 he recorded the live DVD Live at Koko in Camden, one of four documented KOKO shows.
The move to a full live band for Black Sands in 2010 changed the size of his audience. The North Borders tour in 2013 and 2014 took in the Roundhouse, Rock City, the Ritz in Manchester, O2 Academy Brixton, Brighton Dome and Colston Hall in Bristol, and finished the British year with a big headline show at Alexandra Palace on 28 November 2014.
Migration (2017) went to number 5 in the UK albums chart and brought two nights at O2 Academy Brixton, a show in Manchester Cathedral, the Barrowland in Glasgow and the Brighton Centre. In 2018 he was back at Alexandra Palace for two nights (31 May and 1 June). The Fragments Live Tour in May 2022 culminated in five consecutive nights at the Royal Albert Hall, his biggest London stand to date.
Between tours, Green is a regular DJ at Manchester's Warehouse Project, London's summer park events and the Bristol and Brighton club and festival circuit. In September 2026 he marked the release of Distance in Static with album-launch events at Rough Trade East in London, Circuit in Kingston and Strange Brew in Bristol.
The table below lists 104 documented UK concerts by Bonobo between 2004 and 2026, with the most shows in London (33), Manchester (13), Bristol (9), Brighton (7), Pilton (5), Nottingham (5). It is not exhaustive: it only includes documented shows.

Concert data: setlist.fm
Across the 15 most recent documented UK concerts with a full song list (4 March 2017 to 1 September 2023), these are the songs that came up most often. Titles only — set lists change from night to night.
Glastonbury is the festival Bonobo has played most: we count six documented appearances at Worthy Farm, from June 2004 to a Fragments Live set in June 2022 and another appearance in 2024. He has also played Parklife at Heaton Park in Manchester, Festival No.6 in Portmeirion, Bestival at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight and several summer events in Victoria Park, London.
No 2027 UK festival appearances have been announced. His live band shows are normally saved for his own tours, while summer festivals tend to get DJ sets.
Simon Charles Green was born on 30 March 1976 and started making music in Brighton. He named himself after the bonobo ape. His first release was on the Brighton label Tru Thoughts' 1999 compilation When Shapes Join Together, and his debut album Animal Magic followed in 2000. Despite offers from XL and Mute, he stayed with Tru Thoughts before signing to Coldcut's Ninja Tune in 2001.
Dial 'M' for Monkey (2003) and Days to Come (2006) built his reputation in the downtempo and nu-jazz scene. Days to Come was voted album of the year by Gilles Peterson's listeners. Black Sands (2010), with the singer Andreya Triana on 'The Keeper', moved towards live instrumentation, and The North Borders (2013) gave him his first UK chart entry at number 34.
Migration (2017) reached number 5 in the UK and earned two Grammy nominations, including Best Dance/Electronic Album. Fragments (2022), with Jamila Woods, Jordan Rakei, O'Flynn and Joji among the guests, also reached number 5, and in 2023 he was nominated for the Brit Award for British Dance Act. With Kamasi Washington and Floating Points he wrote the score for the 2025 anime series Lazarus, which won an award at the 2026 Music Awards Japan.
Distance in Static, his eighth album, was announced in June 2026 and released on 11 September 2026. Green has been based in Los Angeles for several years but remains closely tied to the British club scene.
| Album | Year | UK chart peak |
|---|---|---|
| Animal Magic | 2000 | — |
| Dial 'M' for Monkey | 2003 | — |
| Days to Come | 2006 | — |
| Black Sands | 2010 | — |
| The North Borders | 2013 | 34 |
| Migration | 2017 | 5 |
| Fragments | 2022 | 5 |
| Distance in Static | 2026 | 11 |
Since 2010, a Bonobo tour has meant a band: drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, a horn section with saxophone and flute, strings on the bigger nights and one or more guest singers, with Green himself on bass, keyboards and electronics. The songs are played live rather than triggered, with solos and extended endings that change from night to night.
For 2027 Green has said the show will 'bridge into more electronic sounds', combining the band with the kind of club set he plays as a DJ. The visual side has been developed with Trevor Jackson, using imagery inspired by microscopic photography.
In practice, that means the 2027 rooms have been chosen for sound and screens as much as capacity. The Prospect Building and Aviva Studios are industrial spaces where production can be hung from the roof; Alexandra Palace's Great Hall is a large, open, standing room that has hosted Bonobo twice before.
Alexandra Palace has become Bonobo's London home for big headline shows. He first played its Great Hall in November 2014 at the end of The North Borders tour, and returned for two nights in May and June 2018 during the Migration campaign. The 2027 shows will be his third visit and his first there since 2018.
The Great Hall holds around 10,000 standing. The building sits on a hill in Haringey with views across London. The nearest rail station is Alexandra Palace, with direct trains from Moorgate and Finsbury Park; Wood Green on the Piccadilly line is a 20-minute walk or a short W3 bus ride. After the show, queues for buses and trains can be long, so allow time to get home.
Green started his career in Brighton, released his first record on a Brighton label and has played the city in every phase of his career, from early DJ nights to the Brighton Dome in 2014, the Brighton Centre on the Migration tour in November 2017 and again on the Fragments tour in May 2022. In July 2025 he played a beach event on Brighton seafront.
The Brighton Centre on Saturday 6 February 2027 is the closest thing to a hometown show on this tour. The seafront venue holds around 4,500 and is a short walk from Brighton station down Queen's Road and West Street.
Glasgow has seen Bonobo in many forms: the O2 ABC in 2013, the Barrowland on the Migration tour in March 2017, a club set at the Sub Club in 2018 and an outdoor show at Galvanizers Yard in 2023. The two Barrowland nights in February 2027 are a return to the ballroom with its famous sprung floor and neon sign.
In the north-east, he played Sage Gateshead in 2013 and 2017. The 2027 tour opens instead at O2 City Hall in Newcastle, a seated Victorian-era concert hall. In Manchester, his history runs from the Ritz and Albert Hall to Manchester Cathedral in July 2017, O2 Victoria Warehouse in May 2022 and many nights at the Warehouse Project, so the move to Aviva Studios continues a long relationship with the city.
A Bonobo live show runs for around an hour and three quarters. Recent full-band sets have mixed songs from Migration and Fragments, such as 'Kerala', 'Bambro Koyo Ganda', 'Rosewood', 'Otomo' and 'Shadows', with older favourites like 'Cirrus' and 'Kong'. The 2027 shows will draw heavily on Distance in Static.
Most venues on this tour are standing, with limited balcony seating at O2 City Hall and the Brighton Centre. The crowd tends to be attentive in the quieter passages and lively once the beats come in, so the floor is the place to be if you want to dance. Ear plugs are a good idea in the warehouse venues.
Tickets were released in September 2026 through Bonobo's official website, with the general sale through Ticketmaster, AXS, See Tickets and the venues' own box offices depending on the city. The second nights in Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol and London were added after the first shows sold well.
If a date is sold out, wait for official returns or use the resale system linked from the original ticket seller. Leave your email in the alert box and we will tell you when tickets come back for the city you choose.
